Empowering The Next Generation of Leaders in Education
Bora Scholars was founded in 2021 with a single mission: to create a network of African scholars and leaders in education. Our network collaborates with different universities and admission programs in the United States in order to provide to the best and brightest African researcher an opportunity to pursue their education and earn a doctorate degree in engineering and science.
We do NOT provide a scholarship or a major financial allowance. However, we invest time and effort to expose the brightest scholars to well-deserved opportunities.
Candidates must have:
Bachelor Degree in Science or Engineering
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor degree in science or in an engineering filed.
A minimum score of 80 is required
Bora Scholars, through Bora Technology provides leadership training for all the applicants for 6 months at a frequency of 2 hours per week before they apply to different institutions. This training includes, but it is not limited to, service to communities, academic success, interview methods, resume (CV) review, personal statement and statement of purpose writing, life as a Ph.D. candidate, and personal growth and developement.

Do Bora Scholars need to sign a contract or any legal documents?
Bora Scholars are not required to sign any binding documents whatsoever. They are however encouraged to give back to their country after their studies. The later can be in the form of employment at Bora Technology or Bora Research Group
Is there any financial obligation required from applicants
Applicants are not required to pay for any of the services. Partner institutions waive the application fees for Bora Scholars.
Is Bora Technology providing any financial renumerations for the Scholars?
Bora Technology does not provide any financial renumeration. However, the company provide the necessary accompaniment for the scholars at the time of their arrival in the United States.
